What would be a successful at home business to start?

I will be starting my own business from my home/college, and I have had many ideas but I want something that would be successful. Does anyone have any ideas?
Start a blog and add adsense on it. There are many people doing it.
You can pick up info all over the net, use google, search bloggers or professional bloggers.
The idea is to have a place with good info about something, then people will visit it.
If you have ads on your pages when people click on the ads you get paid.
Each click will only generate a small amount, even only 0.05 but the more traffic the more clicks.
Depending on the topic you choose to talk about, clicks can be worth more, it’s all a matter of testing and see what works.
All tools are out there to make your life easier.. at first it is very little money if any at all but when it starts to come in it will happen all by itself.

one whose product fills a need. i started mine by teaching how to access the justice system at no cost to the person

I recommend starting a business via network marketing because the start-up cost is minimal (between $40 and $200) and the monthly overhead costs are very low. I would suggest to take something that interests you, that will ease up the initial starting trouble and the fatigue. However, you should first research the product that you will be marketing, it should be worth -while pursuing, there should be people who should be looking at that niche product, there should be market potential and people willing to buy. In addition, the product should be different and unique. If you want to start it on internet, then you have the advantage of getting a lot of people globally who may have interest in your product and it will not be confided to your friend and family circle.
It isn’t all that easy as it is made out to be in the web and there are people who have consistently struggle for more than 3,4 years to make money. There is a learning curve in establishing anything that is new and internet marketing is no exception.
Affiliate marketing is one of the popular internet marketing idea, MLM (multilevel marketing) is another, both require you a concentrated effort in getting customers whom you can either sell or sponsor in your down-line. Once you have overcome the hurdle, it does give you enough fruits as passive income to sustain your internet home business. There are a lot of great companies out there that you can get involved with. It’s just a matter of determining where your passion lies. To be successful in a business, you need to love what you do and believe in the product. If you do, your customers will see that in you and want to be a part of it.
Do a lot of research. Before I become a Scentsy consultant, I did a lot of research to ensure it was the best fit for me. Ask a lot of questions and don’t jump in until you really feel good about the decision.

Like what most people said, you need to find an idea that you love and knowledgable in. If you are good at it, it is much sensible in the long run.
But I would highly recommend a tool called Brainstorm It. It allows you to check various keywords for an idea, and look at the demand and supply for it. This means that you will be able to see if your ideas, are profitable and has potential.

To be successful, think of a niche that you believe would be very interesting. Since you plan to start at home, then you would need the necessary equipments ready as well, such as a PC with internet connection (if you plan to have an online presence), a phone, fax machine, among others.
